Before you send us a message . . . have you visited our website to read about what we do? If not, here’s a little info on our most asked-about programs.
About our Service Dog Program
Pawsitive Teams only trains and places service dogs with mobility-limited San Diegans.
If you do not live in San Diego County or are looking for a dog trained for seizure response, diabetic alert, developmental disabilities, hearing alert, psychiatric disabilities, autism, PTSD, for a child, or for guiding the visually impaired, we urge you to search on the Assistance Dogs International website for a service dog organization that can meet your needs.
About our Therapy Dog Program
Pawsitive Teams’ therapy dog program consists of our six-week Prep School and a small, very specialized volunteer program.
We don’t participate in the most common “meet and greet” type of therapy volunteering.
If you’d like to have therapy dogs participate in activities such as conferences, fraternity events, or during finals week at your school, we suggest you contact a national therapy dog certification organization such as Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Love on a Leash, or Therapy Dogs International, among others; they will get the word out to their members in our area about your opportunity.
If this information doesn’t address your question, then send us that message—we’d love to hear from you!
